Regret is a powerful feeling. I have personally tried to live my life with no regrets…of course we all have a few and hopefully they were in our youth, so we learned. That said, opportunities for regret pop up all the time if we are not careful. Here are 20 ways we can consider to live forward in life so we don’t ever look back with the feelings associated with that dirty word.
20 Ways to live so that regret is not a reality would be:
Make time for the things that truly matter to you and don't waste your time on things that don't.
Pursue your passions and interests.
Practice self-care and spotlight your physical and mental health.
Take action to accomplish your goals, rather than just daydreaming about them.
Be genuine and true to yourself.
Avoid people and circumstances that bring pessimism into your life.
Forgive yourself and others for past mistakes and move forward on new life tests.
Reflect on your life and make adjustments as needed.
Be open to feedback and constructive criticism with a response of “thank you.”
Focus on the things you can control and let go of what you can't.
Avoid comparing yourself to others and focus on your own growth.
Set clear goals and priorities for your life.
Take evaluated risks, but don't be hasty.
Learn from your mistakes and failures.
Live in the present moment and don't reside in the past.
Develop a growth mindset and embrace challenges.
Cultivate positive relationships with family and friends.
Consider and communicate gratitude for the positive things in your life regularly.

Moving forward with consideration of the circumstances and who will be impacted is critical. Living life with as few regrets as possible is the best we can ask from our choices to make it so.
