PARENT'S AND TEACHER'S GET STRAIGHT A'S

Being a parent is a full time job, on top of having a full time job. With school closing, we are now teachers as well. Having a support system and a coach to help with the tough questions and stressful moments can help parents through this difficult transition in life.

Many parents would be surprised to hear that bullying is one of the most common forms of violence in our society. In addition, sexual harassment, eating disorders, drug abuse and other negative societal elements are becoming problems of epidemic proportions at earlier ages. Compound these issues with high student-teacher ratios, overemphasis on standardized testing, peer pressure, drugs, constantly changing classroom curriculums and Standards of Learning requirements, under funded government initiatives, the digital divide, cheating, varying levels of resources and conflicting elements of the rich and poor. School systems are clearly challenged beyond their capacity. NOW…we deal with the Corona Virus @#%@#$&

Parents cannot afford to be absent when it comes to advocating for their children, especially when schools are overburdened and under resourced. Parents must ensure that even during school hours, their children can successfully maneuver past the often treacherous obstacles that plague our nation’s school systems. They not only must. They can. They can work with the schools. They can prepare and support their children.

With How Parents Get A’s in Middle and High School, parents will learn that they have much more power than they realize. They will become and remain both the anchor and propeller to their children’s education. When they do, the result will be a successful, hardworking child who respects other people and who can transition into adulthood with greater ease.
