Considering the state of the world and what we saw happening with travel, I am always encouraging people to travel abroad as soon as they can. There are lots of reasons I suggest this yet my focus today is on the positives it can do for our spirit, our soul, the X Factor of ourselves. As I have said before, we often travel to either get to something or get away from something. Either way for your next trip, think of the internal benefits that will reap rewards in your path for deeper meaning. If you care to know 15 reasons why I think traveling abroad (taking that trip you always considered in the back of your mind) is a good idea for your near future. You can also check out the blog for an article on how to pay for it in a way that allows you to go now.
To gain a new perspective on life, and to challenge your existing beliefs and ideas.
To develop your intuition and inner guidance by stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing new experiences.
To gain a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things, and to embrace a more holistic view of the world.
To heal and release old patterns and blockages that may be holding you back on your spiritual journey.
To discover your own unique gifts and talents, and to explore your purpose and mission in life.
To practice gratitude and mindfulness, and to cultivate a greater sense of inner peace and contentment.
To explore different spiritual practices and traditions that may not be available in your home country.
To connect with like-minded individuals from different parts of the world who share your spiritual beliefs.
To gain a deeper understanding of different religions and spiritual paths, and to learn from their teachings.
To connect with nature and experience the beauty and power of different landscapes and natural wonders. I love architecture and seeing the old world buildings that date back hundreds and thousands of years.
To visit sacred sites and places of pilgrimage, where you can connect with the energy and history of these places.
To experience different forms of meditation, yoga, or other spiritual practices that may be more prevalent in other cultures.
To learn about ancient wisdom and knowledge from different cultures and civilizations.
To deepen your connection with the divine, and to experience a sense of spiritual awakening and transformation.
To discover new spiritual practices and rituals that you can incorporate into your own life.
To learn from spiritual leaders and teachers from different parts of the world.
To develop a greater sense of empathy and compassion for people from different cultures and backgrounds.
To experience the power of community and connection, and to build relationships with others.
To gain a sense of freedom from old patterns and limiting beliefs.
To return home with a renewed sense of purpose and/or clarity, and to continue on your spiritual journey with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
I love international travel because I get to be uncomfortable, learn, figure stuff out, appreciate the basics and amenities of home plus so much more. Here is to you and your next trip, wherever you decide to go!
All my best and much love!
Dave
