2. Have they studied “people” in under/graduate experience - sociology, psychology, education, or HR, etc?
3. What educational and professional background do they have outside of “being a coach?”
4. Do they have enough life experience?
5. How long have they been coaching for?
6. What types of clients have they worked with and on what types of issues?
7. Are you looking for a life, leadership or conflict coach?
8. Does their philosophy focus on process and helping you find the answers within you with good questions?
9. While not a requirement in any way, do you want the coach to have specific content knowledge background of your subject matter?
10. Will they let you speak to some of their existing clients chosen at random, from three references provided?
