Dealing With People

If you have a hero ask yourself what qualities about that person do you really appreciate. What behaviors do they do that help them get hero status in your mind? Then, the tougher part for us is to ask ourselves if we are behaving as similarly as possible.

If Gandhi is your hero, are you feeling as peaceful as he was? Are you trying to feel that way? (I do suggest that at least one hero has a really good emotional state.) But, you get it. It’s a good way to give us an outside measuring stick that we actually can live with because we so appreciate this hero for who they were…or, at least how they acted (even better would be how they felt, if you can find that out.) We created the standard, not someone else which makes it easier to own, identify with an use as a pace car for our own ride.

On the other side of ourselves, dealing with people, even for the more isolated, is usually a daily occurrence. For the other part of today’s message I thought that instead of giving you my thoughts on the subject…let’s hear some wisdom from quotes that are from others that are right on point.
