When we are doing our best in any given moment in life, we are able to go slow and ask ourselves the most important question before taking any action, “For the Sake of what.” Correct, the question, “For the sake of what?” allows us to quickly investigate our motivation behind whatever thought or action we were going to take. It is like a instant rubric to help us determine if the next move will be positive, with good intention, with an envisioned positive outcome…something that moves our moment, life or journey forward in a more beneficial way.
A lot of times we don’t remember to ask ourselves this question and a good percentage of the time we might take a different path if we were quick enough to dip back into our emotional, spiritually stoic toolbox. When we use it once we are more likely to use it with future occurrences thus saving us a headache or shortening the travel to a better place.
“For the sake of what?”
I encourage you to try it before taking action, whether at home or on the job!
Much Love!
Dave
